2 things that are very wrong with my life

It's very, very nippy-noodles outside but I have to stay in tip-top form for my first match on Sunday which I'm sure will be the first of many in my very successful career as a Quidditch star and/or back-up dancer, despite the subarctic conditions.

Honestly, what kind of sadist wants teams flying about in sub-zero temperatures? With any luck, there will be rain as well and we can all just enjoy a bit of pneumonia and die early deaths while we're at it.

It's almost faster to just cast a freezing charm on myself, but I can't be bothered.

There is ONE charm I know but I've only seen it used to warm someone up after they've already been trudging through freezing conditions, not keep them all nice and toasty while they're flying about on a broom for ages and ages.

But I can't be expected to perform spells at every whiff and woo mid-game. The warming charm I know isn't one that that just lasts and lasts and lasts until you eventually boil to death, it was more of a one time thing that has to be constantly replenished much like mascara.

Heh, that's one of the reasons that I don't want to get into the Quidditch team. I mean, it's already cold enough.

[NOT REALLY THOUGH. he's just terrified of flying/being on anything that has a chance to sink or crash, and because he can't explain how brooms can fly.]

As I will tell anyone who'll listen (i.e.: no one), it's crap to have Quidditch in the winter. I may have to spend our victory party thawing. No one likes an icicle at a party after all.
